THE 2003 GAME:
This was about getting points by having the most boxes on your side of the field at the end
of 2 minutes. But, if you stacked boxes on top of each other, it multiplied your points by the
number of boxes stacked. For example, if we had 10 boxes on our side, that’s 10 points.
But, if we also had a stack of 2 boxes on our side it was 10x2. if there was a stack of 3 it
would be 10x3, and so on. We built a multi-purpose robot. It had an arm in the front which
was used to pick up boxes. To aid the arm, a forklift-like attachment was put on the front.
The robot was also small enough to go under a bar, which gave you an advantage to the
game. It was also fast, which was also an advantage. It wasn’t very wide, but it was wide
enough to push the boxes around the way we wanted them to go.
